Social TV Platform Stevie Launches Election 2012 Channel Programmed By Tweets & Facebook

Stevie, the social TV platform that launched earlier this year at TechCrunch Distrupt, is announcing the launch of a new Election 2012 channel featuring Election news taken from Twitter, Facebook and online videos.  Stevie is designed to turn your social feeds into a compelling TV experience, and they aim to offer a highly entertaining and personalized feed about the Election, based upon posts from your friends, comedians, politicians and more.

If you head over to Stevie.com and log-in via Facebook, Stevie will compile a number of programs, including Comedy, Music, and Celeb programs and now Election, Obama and Romney programs, personalized in a unique stream based on what the company calls “The Stevie Factor.”  The Stevie Factor refers to “the algorithms that bring together multiple content sources, determine viewer’s tastes, and know when to show each piece of content.”  You can also check out Stevie’s personalized Election coverage in the company’s dedicated Election iPad app.

Check out the screenshot below to see Stevie’s Election channel in action.  As you can see, it features a selection of YouTube videos, along with social media updates from friends, politicians, and other influencers.

Stevie co-founder Yael Givon says, “The potential we feel for Stevie is limitless.  With Facebook recently announcing reaching the one billion global user milestone and Twitter having over 140 million users there is an almost infinite supply of interesting content coming from our friends and social contacts.  We seek to put a new spin on how the world experiences Social, and we believe this vision comes to life with the way we see the social buzz around the elections reflected on Stevie.”

In addition to the Election coverage, Stevie is also announcing a media partner with Microsoft to bring Stevie to the Xbox platform.  For the first time, millions of Xbox users will be able to enjoy Stevie through their consoles.
