Summary Of Swype Shortcuts

I have become a big fan of the Swype on-screen keyboard because I find it to provide me the fastest way to enter text on my Android phone. For an overview of how Swype works, check out my post from back in March, which includes a video demonstrating the keyboard. Over time I have learned about shortcuts to switch Swype’s QWERTY layout to cursor keys and a numeric keypad. To make it easier to find the shortcuts, here is a quick summary:

1. To display cursor keys along with cut, copy, and paste in Swype, slide your finger from the information button at the lower left of the keyboard to the SYM button.

2. To display a numeric keypad, slide your finger from the information button at the lower left of the keyboard in a diagonal line up and to the right.
