Sunrise Communications said it’s become the first Swiss mobile operator to offer an integrated Web and mobile music store that lets users download content to both a PC and cell phone with no additional fees. When a user buys a track from the PC-based store, one copy is downloaded to the computer and a second copy is sent to the mobile phone. Payment is done on the user’s Sunrise mobile bill via premium SMS.
The Sunrise musicworld shop, powered by 24-7 Entertainment, has two million tracks available. Over the next few months, the company plans to add video and real-music ringtones. Other features include free sound clips and recommendations.
