T-Mobile Giving its Android Using Customers Free Songs from the Google Music Store for the Rest of the Year

T-Mobile customers who use Android phones can get a little something extra from the new Google Music Store. T-Mobile is offering free songs every week between now and the end of the year.

T-Mobile Celebrates Google Music Launch with Free Tracks from Top Artists

The Android device (smartphone or tablet) must run Android OS 2.2 (Froyo) or newer to take advantage of the offer. T-Mobile announced that songs from Drake and Maroon 5 are available right now by going to the Android Market Music Store and look for the T-Mobile Free Tracks section. However, it looks like T-Mobile customers will have to wait until the Google Market Android app is updated before they can do so. Currently, the Market app only provides access to apps, ebooks and movies.

There are, however, free songs in the Android Market Music area accessible to anyone. I found free songs by David Bowie, the Dave Matthews Band and Shakira right on the front page of the music area.
