Taco Bell is speeding up your taco pickups by offering smartphone orders later this year. To prepare the most fresh orders, Taco Bell will use your GPS location to determine when its employees should heat up your food.
Jeff Jenkins, Taco Bell’s lead of mobile said, “If you can get 10 million people to download your app, you’re putting a portal to Taco Bell in 10 million pockets.”
Pizza Hut and other fast food pizza chains have already successfully used mobile ordering, including on gaming platforms. If this trend continues, drive through and pick up will have even less human to human interactions.
