The series, which followed two teams in a convenience store product-inspired race across the country, received nearly 2 million views, an impressive following on Twitter, a multitude of video shares and, overall, achieved more than they could have ever expected. I had the opportunity to speak with Evan Gotlib, VP Advertising Sales at Blip.tv, and Yuri Baranovsky from HLG Films to find out a little bit more about the success of the 7-Eleven Road Rally. Zynga Pushes Into The Real World With Target, 7-Eleven and MTV

Following up on our news of Zynga labelled tomatoes last week, 7-Eleven has announced that they’ll be releasing over 30 items that include Zynga labels and codes worth Zynga virtual currency. Players will be able to take their purchased items home, enter a code written on the item into the “Buy, Earn, Play” website created for the promotion and earn money in either YoVille, Farmville or Mafia Wars. Road Trip Rally7-Eleven and Blip.tv have announced the launch of a new web-based reality series, 7-Eleven Road Trip Rally. The show, which premiers on May 10, will follow two teams as they race across the country, doing 7-Eleven inspired challenges along the way. 7-Eleven has been known for using social media for everything from job recruitment to spreading brand awareness. However, with the introduction of a web series, the largest convenience retailer in the United States is taking their web marketing campaign to a whole new level.
