Online video enthusiasts everywhere—today is the day! The Streamy Awards, the award show dedicated to honoring excellence in online video, goes live this afternoon/evening at 3pm PST/6pm EST at the Hollywood Palladium in LA and you can watch it live right here.
The Streamy Awards, the live-streamed award show dedicated to honoring excellence in online video, just keeps on getting bigger and bigger. In mid-January The Streamys announced that actor/comedian Chris Hardwick would be hosting, last week they announced that Vanilla Ice would be performing, and now rapper Soulja Boy and rock band Boyce Avenue have joined the mix of musical acts.
In October, Friskies opened up submissions for their cat video award show, aptly called ‘The Friskies.’ Over 1,400 cat videos were submitted and, after a vote, a single cat video rose above the rest to win the $15,000 grand prize and the glory of being named the best cat video of 2012!
Earlier this month we told you about “The Friskies,” the Internet cat video awards show brought to you by Friskies with a $15,000 prize. A total of more than 1,400 videos were submitted earlier this month and today the twelve finalists—three in each of four categories—have been announced. Cat lovers are invited to vote for their favorites at TheFriskies.com.

Last month Vimeo released the shortlists and opened voting for the 2012 Vimeo Festival + Awards. Now the polls are closed and the shortlists have been narrowed down to the top four videos in each of the 13 categories. Vimeo viewers are invited to check them out on the Vimeo Awards website.
