YouTube has just announced that they have teamed up with See3 Communications for the third year to present the DoGooder Nonprofit Video Awards. The DoGooder awards are a celebration of the best in nonprofit video and members of the YouTube Nonprofit Program are invited to submit their non-profit videos by February 29, 2012 for the chance to win recognition, some great prizes and the opportunity to spread the word about their organization and the good they are doing in the world.

YouTube has offered up Honors for popular videos since the early days of the site but today they’re launching Medals to celebrate YouTube’s biggest hits. The Medals include awards for All Time Most Popular, Recently Most Popular, and Trending and each category has it’s own page complete with the gold, silver and bronze record holders to make it easy for viewers to find the most popular videos with the most engagement.

Streamys May Put Internet Productions in the Mainstream

The Streamy Awards will return for a third year thanks to a very bankable production company – Dick Clark Productions. DCP’s production record is noteworthy for producing the Golden Globe Awards, American Music Awards and other awards programs. DCP will work with the original production company — Tubefilter. Tubefilter has had some ups and downs with the Streamys. So much so, it was looking pretty grim if Streamys would see another year.
