Adobe Systems Incorporated has acquired Behance, a social network for designers. The software giant today announced its plans to add Behance’s community features to its own Creative Cloud, which serves professionals who use Photoshop and other tools.

Pantone has announced the launch of Pantone Canvas, an online portfolio service for designers that’s built on the Behance platform. Since 1963, Pantone has set the standard for matching color in the graphic arts community. With the launch of Pantone Canvas, people who are looking to hire a designer or who just need a little inspiration will be able to browse design samples by color.
Writers, rejoice! Contently’s portfolio service, PORTFOLIO+, has moved out of private beta. The network’s visual layout gives freelance writers who might be overlooked on LinkedIn a chance to show, not tell, what they can do.
