If you like to keep your social persona consistent with the same user names a profile pictures across the board, YouTube and Google have just made things a whole lot easier for you. Yesterday they added a new YouTube feature that allows users to sign up for a new YouTube channel using their existing Google+ profile.

When YouTube launched their new design back in December 2011, including a new homepage and new channel design, the YouTube community had their reservations (after all, in general people don’t love change). But now that the new design has been out for a few months and users are getting used to the new look, YouTube has released some statistics that show that the new YouTube not only looks nice, but it’s also effective.

If you haven’t set up your new YouTube channel yet now is the time because if you haven’t upgraded your channel to the new design by Wednesday then YouTube will do it for you.
