8 More Sites Join Complex Media Network

Eight new sites have joined Complex Media Network, an entertainment and lifestyle portal aimed at men 18-34. The network now totals 61 sites, 28 million unique monthly visitors, and 282 million page views.

Complex Media also announced the addition of 21 sites in early November.

The eight sides added Tuesday are: online design magazine Yanko Design; Kineda, a street-wear and lifestyle brand; hip-hop and R&B site DJBooth.net; urban culture hub Refined Hype; GeekTyrant, a source of geek-movie news; fighting-game community site Shoryuken; football and hip-hop culture site 6 Magazine; and sports-news site Ball Junkie.

Complex Media Network Adds 21 Sites to Ad Network

Things are about to get much more complex at Complex Media Network, as the lifestyle portal targeted toward 20-something men invited 20-something (21, to be exact) sites to join its ad network, which already consisted of 26 sites delivering 184 million monthly page views and 15 million unique monthly visitors.

Style-related addition to Complex Media Network are: Por Homme, an online men’s fashion, footwear, culture, and lifestyle magazine; UpscaleHype, a high-end online lifestyle magazine; video based lifestyle blog Maestro Knows; Selectism, a daily online men’s fashion, footwear, lifestyle, and culture magazine and news site focused on street fashion; online action-sports lifestyle and culture magazine and news site Radcollector; and Highsnobette, a lifestyle magazine devoted to outside-the-box fashion, art, and lifestyle trends.

The music sector brought the following five sites to Complex Media Network: Pigeons and Planes (new music in mainstream hip-hop, indie rock, or anything in between); YouHeardThatNew (exclusive tracks, interviews, and videos from urban artists); 2dopeboyz (MP3s and blog tracks, covering live shows, current artists, album reviews, tour dates, and news); HipHopDx (news, songs, video, and mixtapes, updated daily); and Consequence of Sound (New York- and Chicago-based online music publication devoted to the worldwide music scene).

Two art sites made the cut: Checkoutmyink, for tattoo enthusiasts; and daily online news site for the arts/culture world Curated Magazine. Complex Media Network also welcomed a pair of sites from the gaming and technology sector: Platinum Life, a game with the object of becoming a hip-hop legend; and PlayStation 3- and PlayStation Portable-targeted PlayStation University.
