The Alliance to Save Energy is tapping into the media and technology sectors, announcing initiatives with Facebook, Dell, and CBS to push its energy-efficiency agenda.
Facebook will donate of $500,000 worth of advertising on its platform to the Alliance to Save Energy, as well as promoting its new consumer Web site, Living Efficiently, which is being sponsored by Dell and offers tips, product information, and news about where consumers live their daily lives: at home, at school, at work, and on the go.
The Alliance will also air a month-long series of videos touting better ways to save energy and money on CBS’ 520-square-foot Super Screen in New York City’s Times Square starting Monday, Nov. 1. The 15-second, live-action spots will run at least 540 times throughout November, playing once every hour, or 18 times per day, for 30 days.
