GoldRun, an Augmented Reality (AR) marketing firm, teamed with OMGPOP to create an AR campaign for the free iPhone game Puppy World. Taking photos of virtual Puppy World characters in the real world earns points. The winner of the month-long AR game will be able to choose which dog breed will be added to the Puppy World game.
Burn the Rope has made its way from the iOS universe to Windows Phone. The $2.99 takes a relatively simple premise – burn all the rope by making sure the flame(s) always burn upwards – and creates increasingly complex scenarios to solve. Manipulating the phone to keep that flame moving upward is a lot tricker than it sounds after the first one or two simple scenarios.




PopCap’s Bejeweled may be one of the most addictive games around. It is available for a wide variety of platforms including the iPhone, Facebook and Google+. Now comes word that the game may not only be good to play but good for you as you get older. Note, however, that this study conducted at the University of Massachusetts Amherst was funded by PopCap.
