Synthesizer creator Robert Moog, who would have been 78 years old today, is having the best birthday ever. Not long after Google’s artists created an interactive Moog synthesizer doodle for the homepage, a fan responded with a crazy cover of Daft Punk’s “Aerodynamic” using Google’s tool, which he posted on YouTube.

Google’s Doogle of Freddie Mercury Generates Excitement

Today Google is celebrating his 65th birthday, which would have been yesterday, and was celebrated internationally yesterday. Mercury died in 1991 of AIDS related bronchopneumonia. But like all famous musicians and artists, he lives on in his music. It looks like Google is a big fan of Mercury’s work and chose “Don’t stop me now” as the song to accompany its tribute to the man.
