President Obama will take questions about his Tuesday State of the Union speech using a Google Hangout.
Google+ users who administrate a business page can now use Hangouts and other Google services using the page’s identity, rather than the user’s personal Google+ identity.
Google Hangouts, the video-chat app that originated within Google+, will begin allowing users to turn off the video feature and use audio only.
Google began offering a full-screen option for Hangouts on Air, or impromptu video interactions saved for subsequent viewing, the company said this week.
Google launched a bundle of new features for its Google+ mobile apps this morning, focused on events, photos and Hangouts. The features include beefed up events-organizing tools, tweaks to the social network’s popular Hangouts feature and a suite of changes aimed at improving photo quality.

Google+ just made it a whole lot easier to share your favorite videos with your friends in a virtual YouTube party with a new YouTube app in Google+ Hangouts.
Google+ has undergone a makeover, and it’s cleaner, more functional and the best competitor to Facebook the web has ever seen. There are some awesome new integrations with other Google services like YouTube and they’ve better emphasized photos and video Hangouts. I’ve been a long time fan of Google+ and tend to think that there is room for another social network for people. This update proves that Facebook really does have something to fear as Google has improved the user experience in a lot of innovative ways that may leave Facebookers envious.

Twitter Admits ‘Unfollowing Bug’ (The Telegraph)
The microblogging company has now admitted that there is a problem. A Twitter spokesman said: “This is a bug, and our team is working to fix it.” The bug is causing Twitter users to randomly unfollow people without account holders’ prior consent or knowledge. Twitter has advised affected people to visit its support page and go to fellow tweeters’ profile pages to check whether they are still following them or not. Cnet The site has finally acknowledged a glitch that’s causing people you follow to appear as if they’ve been unfollowed. Twitter is working on a fix but insists the bug only makes it seem like you’re no longer following someone. Clicking on the user’s actual profile page can confirm that you’re still a follower. Accessible Hangouts makes Google+ Hangouts a lot more accessible for the blind by using text-to-speech not only to read aloud the names and messages that are being typed into the chat box, but also to let blind users know when different people are entering and exiting the hangout, making the experience a lot less mysterious.
