The Importance of Optimizing Apps for iOS7, an Infographic

ios7 app optimizationWith 200 million users on iOS7, it’s hard to ignore the importance of app optimization for the new Apple operating system. When comparing user feedback, those apps not optimized for iOS 7 tends to be significantly lower in rating for users on iOS7 than on previous iOS operating systems.

Kimmel Offers Treatment For iOS 7 Motion Sickness

Apple’s new mobile OS is making people cybersick. Users are reporting symptoms of dizziness, vertigo, headache and nausea, which are caused by the software’s dynamic background, high-resolution and 3-D impressions on the Home screen that make the apps appear to zoom in and out. The brain is tricked into interpreting the signals as movement when the person is not moving. Some users also experience eyestrain due to the parallax effect, and symptoms are even worse on the i-pad.

As uninstalling the software is not an option–iOS 7 comes preinstalled on all new iPhone models–users are scrambling to find other solutions like turning down the background and enabling ‘Reduce Motion’ in the Accessibility tab (I am still trying to figure out why motion is part of the software let alone set by default). Leave it to Kimmel to find a foolproof antidote.
