Penny auction website Beezid.com is making headlines today because of a new promo they released on YouTube yesterday, starring Lindsay Lohan, who is currently on house arrest. But Lohan’s house arrest cameo isn’t the big news—the big news is how much Beezid paid to get Lohan to make the 14-second spot.

iVillage revealed the winners of its Second Annual iVillage Entertainment Awards, which recognized “the actresses, actors, characters, scenes, shows, movies, and more that had the iVillage community abuzz in 2010.”

The results of a new analysis of news stories that combined traffic and ad revenue this past summer by Perfect Market bucked the conventional wisdom that celebrity scandals are the road to online success, as its top 10 topics were all hard news, AdAge.com reported.
The top 10 story topics from Perfect Market, according to AdAge.com: unemployment benefits; Gulf recovery jobs; the recall of eggs; the Gulf oil spill; mortgage rates; jobs in general; President Barack Obama; Social Security, immigration reform; and California’s Proposition 8.
Perfect Market chief strategy officer Robertson Barrett told AdAge.com, “The rates paid by advertisers on Google AdSense for immigration-related terms are higher than the celebrity-related stuff like Lindsay Lohan.”

Microsoft search engine Bing added Twitter-user recommendations to its Bing Social search results, calling the new feature People Recommendation.
