Madvertise Raises $10 million To Secure European Mobile Ad Market

European mobile ad powerhouse, Madvertise, completed its Series B financing yesterday, raising a combined $10 million to date. With this new round of investment, they intend to solidify their grasp on the European mobile ad market. This round of funding was led by Germany’s Earlybird, who significantly increased their initial investment, and the Silicon Valley-based newcomer, Blumberg Capital. More after the jump.

Study: Within Four Years, 70 Percent Of All Mobile Ads Will Be Local

According to the recent projections by forecaster BIA/Kelsey, mobile ad spending in U.S is expected to spike to $4billion by 2015, from just $790 million in 2010. The targeted local ads will be the key drivers in the growth and are expected to account for 70% i.e. $2.8 billion of the total spend, compared to $404 million or 51% this year.

comScore: Number of Individuals Running Mobile Ad Campaigns Have Doubled Since 2009

According to a recent study by comScore, the number of campaigns lead by individual advertisers on major mobile websites has more than doubled since the year 2009. comScore measured a sample of over 600 most trafficked U.S. mobile web properties, and found out that the number of advertisers running campaigns increased from 280 in april 2009 to 689 the same month in 2011, representing a growth of 128%.
