This month two new Obama musical spoofs hit YouTube and together they’ve scored over 1 million views. One of the Obama videos is an operatic spoof on Gilbert and Sullivan’s ‘Major-General’s Song’, while the other brings out Obama’s gangsta side.
When Christine O’Donnell told the citizens of Delaware, “I’m not a witch, I’m you” in her senatorial campaign, the ad instantly became one of the most-parodied political campaign ads of all time. Here are ten of our favorite Christine O’Donnell parodies.
When Vermont’s Daniel Freilich spoofed Old Spice as part of his Senatorial campaign it left a bad taste in a lot of voters mouths. However, a new video campaign from Jerry Labriola, who is running for congress in the third district of Connecticut, shows that when you do something right you get a lot better results. Labriola’s video is well-crafted, makes some strong points about his campaign and is generally much more effective than Freilich’s sorry excuse for a campaign video.

If you thought Cisco’s Old Spice copycat campaign was bad, just wait ’til you see Daniel Freilich’s new Vermont Senatorial campaign video. The description of Freilich’s Old Spice campaign video says that the candidate is showing off his “fun side” with this parody clip, which has accrued over 17,000 views since it’s upload last week, most in the last twenty-four hours. But I’d be willing put money on the fact that most of these viewers are laughing at Freilich and not with him. Who thought it would be a good idea to parody a men’s deodorant campaign in a campaign for political office?

It would be an understatement to say that I think the Double Rainbow clip on YouTube and its subsequent parodies are hilarious. I don’t just think they are hilarious – I am obsessed with them.
