Google Begins Testing Its Augmented-Reality Glasses (The New York Times / Bits)
Yesterday, Google gave people a clearer picture of its secret initiative called Project Glass. The glasses are the company’s first venture into wearable computing. The glasses are not yet for sale. Google will, however, be testing them in public. Cnet A video of this augmented-reality experiment was posted by Google on YouTube showing someone wearing the glasses as he made his way around a variety of Manhattan venues, receiving up-to-the-minute updates as information streamed into his glasses. The Wall Street Journal / Digits Instant walking routes on maps, video chat, voice notes and a camera may be included in the glasses, Google suggests. Watch Obama’s Complete Google+ Hangout with America [Video]

President Obama completed his first live Google Hangout on Monday, and the results were pretty good.  Google has put up the video, and you can see that whether you agree with the answers or not, the overall effect of having Americans from all over the country asking live questions to the President is a very effective way to see the President in a variety of situations.  Unfortunately, for this particular interview the questions were strongly moderated and the questions were a bit too vague — the whole interview had a positive vibe and some tough questions weren’t addressed.

He will sign his personal with “BO,” which has many meanings in the American language. We will know it is from our beloved president. Not all tweets will be from President Obama according to the campaign. They will be managing both Obama’s Twitter account and Facebook page.
