Canadian English-language newspaper publisher Postmedia Network launched iPad apps for 10 of its newspapers, with features including: Heat Map, which allows readers to see the most popular stories in their neighborhoods; My Articles, the ability to save and store content; sharing and commenting via Facebook, Twitter, and email; and high-resolution photos and galleries.
The 10 newspapers are: The Vancouver Sun, Times Colonist (Victoria), The Province (Vancouver), the Calgary Herald, the Edmonton Journal, the Leader-Post (Regina), The StarPhoenix (Saskatoon), the Ottawa Citizen, The Windsor Star, and The Gazette (Montreal). All of the apps are available free-of-charge.
