Facebook users are afraid of change, according to a USA Tod ay poll released in mid-October, which revealed that 56% of Facebook users did not like Facebook’s latest changes. With that being said, Facebook users are constantly growing by the day. What keeps current users with the social networking platform, and what drives new users towards it? The answers are endless, but we should not be looking at what brings users to the platform, instead we should be looking at what drives users away. Timeline, Facebook’s “new kind of profile,” could be the underlying answer to the question at hand.

While many of us have been sitting around waiting until our own profiles switch over to the new Facebook timeline, the crew at McCann Erickson in Tel Aviv have already been hard at work creating their first campaign with the new timeline—a Facebook timeline mash-up that brings together all ten members of their team on one (sorta creepy) timeline.

Don’t let the name of the site throw you off. Kakabox.com is a new interactive site that offers a variety of useful, easy-to-use tools for parents. My favorite is placing photos of the newest addition to the family on a specially designed baby timeline, parents can permanently capture those early golden moments and developmental stages.

Twitter has unveiled its next step in a three-part plan to roll out the promoted tweets it announced in April – inserting them into user’s timelines. Twitter will be integrating promoted tweets into certain users’ timelines on HootSuite, testing the feature before presumably rolling it out on other platforms.
