At the end of this month YouTube Create, a resource on YouTube’s website featuring third-party apps like Xtranormal, WeVideo, GoAnimate, Vlix, Magisto, Stupeflix and other video creation tools, will be shutting its doors. YouTube Create launched nearly two years ago but, according to GigaOM and a number of folks familiar with the issue, it will be shut down at the end of this month (i.e. after today).

Designed for people who have more social networks than they know what to do with, CHNL is a media aggregator that puts all your friends’ article links, cat videos, etc. from different social sites onto one page. Today, the company has announced a new integration with daily deal sites Groupon and LivingSocial that will instantly add discounts on entertainment, travel, and goods, to your dashboard as well.
Twitter has definitely shaken off its growing pains in the last few years. We all have the friend who was a staunch critic of Twitter when it first got popular – “How can you say anything meaningful in 140 charaters” – who has now taken to it because it’s a fantastic way to follow people you admire. A big question is whether Google+ is going to follow a similar route, because these days one of the big questions about Google+ is “Why would I post on that network when I already share on Twitter?”
