5 Ways YouTube’s New Unlimited Uploads Will Change The Face Of Web Video

YouTube has been gradually increasing their upload time limit, first to ten minutes and then to fifteen. Yesterday they announced that they have just raised their limit to allow selected users (including me, yay!) to upload videos that are even longer than fifteen minutes. If you ask me, this is big news for the world of web video. Read on to find out more about the upgrade, as well as the ways in which YouTube’s new upload limits (or lack thereof) will change the face of web video forever.

YouTubers Now Uploading Over 35 Hours Of Video Per Minute!

These days it seems like YouTube has something new and exciting to announce on a weekly basis. This week the big news is that YouTube users are now uploading over 35 hours of video per minute. This is a huge jump. Just last March they announced that 24 hours of video were being uploaded per hour. At this rate, we’ll be seeing whole life spans worth of video being uploaded in minutes before you know it.

Flickr Becomes More Social with New Interface

Flickr has become an icon of Web 2.0 particularly when it comes to photo sharing and uploading. Since it was acquired by Yahoo not so long ago, nothing much has happened with the site in terms of new features, site improvement and other things. On the user perspective site, Flickr as a photo sharing and uploading site is pretty much that it. Users upload their photos, create photo albums and then share it with their friends and family. That’s pretty much it. No interaction, not too much buzz and hype. Until now. continued…

Fans Can Root for Their Team With Fanranker

As a casual sports fan, I often find myself distracted from the game, paying attention to the fans in the background instead. Fans put the ‘fan’ in fanatic, and this is abundantly clear when you watch. From the face-painted dude to the cheerleading chick, stadiums hold no shorteage of passion.
