Twittercism.com Joins the mediabistro.com Family

WebNewser parent mediabistro.com doubled its pleasure when it comes to covering Twitter, announcing its acquisition of Twitter analysis and commentary blog Twittercism.com from Shea Bennett, who will remain on board. Twittercism.com joins AllTwitter, which mediabistro.com launched in November.

WebMediaBrands Acquires 10,000 Words Blog

WebMediaBrands, the parent company of mediabistro.com, has acquired the blog 10000Words.net from Mark S. Luckie. Luckie is the national Innovations Editor for The Washington Post. The terms of the purchase were not disclosed.

“10,000 Words is a perfect fit for the Mediabistro blog network, which attracts over 3 million unique visitors monthly,” said WebMediaBrands Chairman and CEO Alan Meckler in a statement. “Mark Luckie will continue to contribute to 10,000 Words and will help us develop other bloggers to write for 10,000 Words as we rapidly expand coverage.”

WebMediaBrands Expands Social Media Portfolio With Acquisition Of 3rd Power LLC

Following the acquisition of Social Times Inc, WebMediaBrands (Nasdaq: WEBM) has acquired Charles Hudson’s 3rd Power LLC. With that acquisition comes a portfolio of conferences including Social Gaming Summit, Virtual Goods Summit, and iGames Summit. The terms of the deal have not been disclosed but this is definitely an exciting announcement. Our company was acquired weeks ago and this acquisition will help expand WebMediaBrands’ social media portfolio.
