McDonald’s teams up with Zynga to offer a their own branded farm in Farmville, MeYouHealth launches healthy online games to make healthy decisions fun, and RedBull works with Giant’s pitcher Tim Lincecum and Facebook Places to promote its energy softdrink. Yesterday the FDA asked for more funds to ” update its scientific tools” meanwhile consumer groups build out blogs and Facebook Pages to spread information. Looks like even when there are resources available for free, the U.S government still falls way behind the mark. Marketing is killing education in social media and our eating habits are starting to revolve around checking-in and reward points. How is this going to affect the future health of upcoming generations?
