tamagotchiRemember those pocket-sized Tamagotchi from high school? Admittedly, I never got one of those digital keychain pets, but ever since online games like Smurfvillage and Farmville started appearing, we’ve been waiting for the resurgence of Tamagotchis as a phone app.

The app allows you to choose between Toy or App mode. Toy looks just like the old school version with a Tamagotchi device, while app is a full screen colored pet. Once you get your Tamagotchi, you can feed it and clean its poop. There’s also a mini-game that you can play with your pet to increase its happiness.

The app is available for iPhone and Android (already over 600,000 downloads in just one month). The apps are ad-supported, but you can pay $0.99 for an ad-free version.
