Hi ThinkMobile readers - all the great mobile apps, devices and reviews are now a part of mediabistro's SocialTimes.com. Thanks for reading!

tatango.pngKillerStartups brought a new company called Tatango to our attention. The start-up has a group text-messaging product that lets users create groups, invite folks to join them and blast out messages from their PC or mobile phone.

Once you’ve created a group, sending out a message to everyone in it is as simple as typing it on either device and sending it to Tatango’s short code. From there it gets delivered to all recipients. Tatango apparently even built in some security measures; users can “delegate authority, allowing only the right person to send the right message to the right people,” the article says.

This whole type once/send to many elevates the text message to the level of e-mail in some respects, especially the part that lets you type your text on a full-size PC keyboard instead of the virtual one on your phone.
