Open Road Integrated Media has released a digital version of Terry Southern’s classic sixties new journalism Red-Dirt Marijuana and Other Tastes.

The story collection of essays from the 1960s and 70s includes: Apartment to Exchange, an imaginary encounter between Freud and Kafka; You’re Too Hip, Baby, the story of a liberal white man who tries to befriend a black jazz musician; and Twirling at Ole Miss, an essay on race relations, moonshine and baton-twirling.

The Open Road version includes newly developed content such as video interviews with his son, Nile Southern (see above), author Fran Lebowitz, and Paris Review Southern Editor John Jeremiah Sullivan.
