While Android phone hardware has not impressed me so far, I am impressed by the Android platform itself. I really think that Android based netbooks can provide quality products to millions of people priced at less than $200 and, perhaps, even achieving the original One Laptop Per Child dream price of $100.
Imagine a device about two or three times the size of an iPhone with a pullout QWERTY keyboard, 32GB of flash storage, fast web browser, decent email client, and easy to install apps, WiFi and simple to tether to an Android (or any other) smartphone that costs $250. This would be a near perfect mobile web device.
