TheHub.fm Launches to Help You Skip the T-Shirt Line at SXSW

TheHub.fm gives bands a way to sell their merchandise at concerts without asking their fans to leave their show to stand in line.

The site will launch in beta at the South By Southwest (SXSW) Interactive festival on March 8, where tens of thousands of people flock every year to experience what’s new in tech. A week-long music festival follows.

Customers can use their phones to browse the selection from anywhere in the venue and either pick it up at the counter or have it shipped. The bands or event speakers will learn a little more about what their audiences like and will also be able to send them future offers and updates.

Based in New York, NY and Kansas City, MO, Hub.fm has grown out of the Think Big Partners early-stage business incubator and mentoring program. Its founder, Jonathan Block, is also a partner at Adva mobile and the founder of Major Hana Records.
