The New York Times Co. to Launch Your Guide to Better Living in Florida

The New York Times Co. announced the March 1 debut of free quarterly magazine Your Guide to Better Living and a companion Web site, adding that the site will give users access to a comprehensive, searchable database of senior living options, including independent living, in-home care, and assisted living and nursing facilities.

The magazine will be distributed via the Sarasota Herald-Tribune, and it and the Web site will focus on Florida’s Sarasota, Manatee, and Charlotte counties. It will also be available at Publix supermarkets, Walgreens and CVS drug stores, medical clinics, hospitals, doctor’s offices, social service agencies, and assisted living centers.

Publisher Steve Schmidt said, “Our goal is to become the leading source of information for families who are trying to make important quality-of-life decisions.”
