Today the children’s author who used to make us laugh under the covers at bedtime is helping us laugh through our tears under the hashtag #SadDrSeuss.
The meme was started this morning on Twitter by comedian Abbi Crutchfield, who has been named one of the “18 Funny Women You Should Be Following on Twitter” by Huffington Post Comedy.
“I had an observation about marriage that happened to rhyme so I made up the hashtag to accompany it,” she explained via email.
