FierceMobileContent editor Jason Ankeny just posted his list of seven top mobile media stories for the year.
Here’s the list:
1. Apple introduces the iPhone
2. Google launches Android
3. Verizon Wireless embraces open access
4. Handset makers become service providers
5. Amp’d Mobile declares bankruptcy
6. The Writers Guild of America hits the picket lines
7. Radiohead goes digital
It’s a good summary of the year in mobile media. We wish mobile TV and the mobile Web were somewhere on it, but technological and arbitrary carrier restrictions are preventing both categories from reaching their potential just yet.
