Hi ThinkMobile readers - all the great mobile apps, devices and reviews are now a part of mediabistro's SocialTimes.com. Thanks for reading!

thirdscreen.jpgThird Screen Media just snagged Fox in a deal to deliver advertising to mobile phones, adding to its already-bursting portfolio that includes USA Today, MSN, The Weather Channel and MSNBC.com.

The deal lets Fox use Third Screen’s software platform to send video, text message, and Web ads to phones.

However, it appears Third Screen is still focusing on Web ads for the time being. According to Jeff Janer, Third Screen’s chief marketing officer, the wireless Web is still much bigger than mobile TV in the U.S., with 30 million users versus just five million at present. “The fact of the matter is that there’s just not a big enough market where an advertiser is interested in advertising in anything other than the mobile Internet,” Janer said.
