It’s Friday again, and you know what that means! It’s time for your weekly dose of the best viral videos on the Web. Cee Lo Green – F**k You
With over 2.9 million views since last Thursday, Cee-lo Green’s “F*ck You’ has been one of the most-viewed videos on YouTube this week. The actual video is pretty bare bones – it’s just a graphic listing of the song’s lyrics. But the lyrics themselves were enough to make this video go viral. Check out the video below and you’ll understand why. Oh, and I think it’s clear from the title that this may be NSFW.
Cat Bin Lady
One of the biggest news stories this week, online and off, was that of Cat Bin Lady – a British woman caught on a security camera throwing a cat in the trash. The video spawned a plethora of Facebook groups and landed the woman under police protection.
In the days following the spread of the security tape footage on YouTube, the woman, who was revealed to be a British bank worker named Mary Bale, apologized for her actions. According to the New York Times, she said, “I cannot explain why I did this, it is completely out of character and I certainly did not intend to cause any distress to Lola or her owners. It was a split second of misjudgment that has got completely out of control.”
MOMMY & DADDY SONG
The Gregory Brothers, also known as Schmoyoho, is following up their recent hit, the Bed Intruder Song, with another viral YouTube remix. The Mommy & Daddy Song remixes a video that went viral earlier this month in which a little girl tells her parents about how she heard them having sex. The song has just over 983,000 views so far. While it isn’t likely to become as big of a hit at the Bed Intruder Song, it’s still pretty catchy. Check it out below.
MARCEL THE SHELL WITH SHOES ON
This video may be one of the cutest videos of an animated shell that I’ve ever seen. Okay, maybe it’s the only video of an animated shell that I’ve ever seen, but it is adorable nonetheless. It is an interview with ‘Marcel the Shell’, a cute little shell that spouts out hilarious one-liners about his size. “Guess what I do for adventure? I hand glide on a Dorito.”
Simon’s Cat in ‘The Box’
Simon’s Cat in ‘The Box’ is a cute animated video of a cat exploring an empty cardboard box. It first went up on YouTube last week and now has a whopping 1.9 million views. My favorite part is when he tries to eat the box. Yay.
