Time: iPhone “Invention of the Year”

Time Magazine just named the iPhone the invention of the year.

Here are the reasons they gave:

1. It’s pretty.
2. It’s touchy-feely.
3. It will make other phones better.
4. It’s not a phone, it’s a platform.
5. It is but the ghost of iPhones yet to come.

Look, we’re a mobile media blog. We should be thrilled about Time naming the iPhone the invention of the year. But we have to agree with CNET News. All we can think is: you’ve got to be kidding us. Nothing else happened in biology, medicine, space science, neuroscience, robotics…?
