Angel Gambino, the Bebo exec who heads up attracting record labels and musicians to the site (officially “global vice president of music and content”), has resigned, CNET News said; she appears to be part of an executive exodus at the company following its $850 million acquisition by AOL.
The report said that Gambino is following Bebo founders Michael Birch and Xochi Birch out the door along with two other, unnamed higher-ups.
This isn’t surprising, given that the Time Warner head honcho himself has publicly expressed doubts over the merger. Bebo has a large user base, even if most of it is overseas, so it’s not like the company is folding tomorrow; still, this doesn’t look good.
