Top Trends at SXSW 2014: Social, Startup, Gaming

Social media agency We Are Social created a word cloud based on the schedule of events for this year’s SXSW Interactive. “What’s more reflective of emerging trends is how ‘maker’ is marginally bigger than ‘entrepreneur’ and ‘making’ is bigger than ‘marketing,’” said global managing director Robin Grant in a statement. We think it’s notable that the word ‘lean’ is bigger than ‘viral’ and ‘privacy.’ The agency omitted certain words from its analysis, like ‘SXSW,’ ‘session’ and ‘live.’
