MocoNews is reporting that CBS Mobile has signed with Quattro Wireless to build a made-for-mobile, severe weather resource. “The new service will let users access up-to-the-minute storm information and relevant thunderstorm and hurricane updates from their mobile devices,” the report said.
The CBS Mobile News Hurricane Center will operate under the CBS News Mobile website. The service will pull content from AccuWeather.com, a site that already has plenty of online and mobile initiatives including a BlackBerry home screen icon and as the default site for Apple’s Dashboard widget on all new Macintosh computers. To access it, visit storm.cbsnews.com using your cell phone’s Web browser.
