AirKast has come out with what it claims is the first fully integrated mobile media solution for radio stations. TuneKast, which is powered by the AirKast mobile media platform, lets radio stations distribute live broadcasts to mobile phones.
With TuneKast, radio stations can also add interactive features to the broadcasts to develop a more personal relationship with mobile phone users. TuneKast doesn’t require additional hardware or software installation at the radio station, just a quick set-up that extends its live broadcast feed and programming to mobile devices.
The company partnered with Ando Media to manage ad insertion in the mobile broadcasts. Ando’s technology allows radio stations to schedule audio and video ads and monitor impressions through a central management system.
