Turner Broadcasting Re-ups Mobile Media Deal

Motricity just renewed its contract with Turner Broadcasting to provide mobile extensions of programming on Turner properties including CNN, the Cartoon Network, TBS and TNT, according to a MediaPost report.

Motricity handles a number of things for Turner, such as live polling on cell phones for CNN and wallpapers for Turner Classic Movies. The report said that Turner claimed the deal marked the continuation of its “aggressive plans to provide interactive television and brand extension through the mobile channel.” In addition to Turner, NBC, MTV and BET also work with Motricity for similar types of services.
