How powerful is your Twitter name? Given the mainstream emergence of the microblogging sensation, wielding greater ‘influence’ on Twitter can help you accomplish big things in the Web 2.0 world.
A relatively new tool, Twitter.Grader, launched by HubSpot, let’s you find out how you compare to your peers. Simply input your Twitter user name and hit enter.
Just like those tests you took in the eighth grade, results are calculated as a percentile score. For example, I received a grade of 73, meaning that my profile scored higher than 73% of people who have graded their Twitter profile.
My 43,118 overall rank out of 170,269 could definitely be improved. That means I’ll have to bosst my 84 followers, follow more than 96 people and post more frequent updates (228 and climbing!).
Once your grade is given, the Web site will recommend people to tweet. The thing I don’t like about this feature, is that it appears it is simply matching people up based on the text of my bio. In my case, I say that “I try to breathe deeply as often as possible.” That left me with a bunch of recommendations that also used the word “breathe” in their profile.
Recently graded Twitter users appear on the homepage, giving users an added incentive for a little more exposure.
You can also enter a Twitter username to see if they are following you.
Add a fancy badge and show the world how you scored.
Where do you rank?
