They may not have a business model yet, but they’re sure popular: CNET News reports that Twitter tops Nielsen’s fastest-growing social networking site list, with a stunning 343 percent growth since September 2007. Tagged also saw a tremendous upswing in popularity particularly in the 35-49 age group, with 330 percent growth in the same time period.
In terms of overall popularity, MySpace is still on top with just under 60 million visitors, although it only grew one percent in the past year. Meanwhile, Facebook comes in at number 2 but saw 116 percent growth during the same period.
The question for Twitter? Figure out how to make money off of its audience.
