Twynergy App from HP Compares Twitter Personas

A new app from HP, Twynergy, streamlines the process of finding Twitter users to follow by examining profiles and associating them with topics.

Chief technology officer Phil McKinney revealed Twynergy during a speech at Maker Faire in San Mateo, Calif., this weekend, AllThingsD reported, during which he said, “It’s all about taking your Twitter feed and discerning areas of interest.”

McKinney added that Twynergy also examines content on sites that are linked to in users’ Tweets, and he shared his overlap with various celebrities, according to AllThingsD, saying that he had the most similarity (86 percent) with President Barack Obama, and adding that the similarity number was 50 percent with Tony Robbins, 7 percent with Oprah Winfrey, and 2 percent with Howard Stern, and quipping, “That’s a good thing,” about the latter.
