Linux owned the initial netbook market. Then, it lost it to Windows XP. If netbook makers actually use Windows 7 Starter Edition with its limitation of running 3 applications simultaneously, Linux may have another chance at capturing netbook mindshare. Canonical Announces Availability of Ubuntu 9.04 Netbook Remix

The Ubuntu 9.04 Netbook Remix edition features fast boot times and enhanced power management. It can be downloaded and installed to a USB flash drive for easy testing. Canonical’s press release says that it has been fully tested with three very popular netbook models: Acer Aspire One, Asus Eee PC 1000, and Dell mini 9.

I’ll definitely looking forward to trying Ubuntu 9.04 Netbook Remix.
