Removing someone as a friend on a social-networking site may be a bit harsh, but the word “unfriend” still managed to be named the 2009 Word of the Year by the New Oxford American Dictionary.
The official definition: To remove someone as a “friend” on a social-networking site such as Facebook.
This blogger’s money is on “retweet” as the early favorite for 2010.
