Universal Networks International Rolls Out New Digital-Video Platform

Universal Networks International announced the launch of a new Web-video digital platform that will power its interactive Web sites for its five core channel brands: Syfy Universal, Diva Universal, Studio Universal, Universal Channel, and 13th Street Universal.

The localized Web sites are currently available in 14 languages and 16 countries, and they offer streamed video content, including full episodes, behind-the-scenes footage, original content, gaming, and series produced exclusively for the Web.

Universal Networks International & Digital Initiatives president Roma Khanna said:

UNI’s rollout of our global Web sites evolves our ongoing strategy — and priority — to deliver top entertainment brands to audiences around the world in a way that truly complements their worlds.

Universal Networks Interactive vice president Jason Keane added:

The compelling content of these new Web sites delivers an extended brand experience for our viewers around the world, enabling UNI to evolve its strategy of delivering a 360-degree brand experience and giving fans the opportunity to engage with their favorite shows and entertainment brands online.
