Google wants to make it easier to do your holiday shopping this year and has created a number of tools to help you do so. According to the Google blog,”last holiday season, 67% of shoppers read product reviews before making a purchase.”
To help make finding reviews easier, the search giant has created a new social shopping tool called Google Shopping. Google Shopping lets you see if a product that you want to buy has been reviewed by someone you know. In addition, you can use the tool to write product reviews on Google Shopping and share these reviews with friends. Google Shopping also shows discounts, so that you can find the best deal.
In addition, Google Maps for Android now includes indoor floor plans for various popular retailers. TechCrunch explains:
“These include labels of where certain items are located (kids, mens, juniors, etc.) You can also see maps of malls and easily locate the food court or closest restroom. For some malls, you can get indoor walking directions to find the best route from one store to the next. The indoor maps are available for a number of popular retail locations including Nordstrom, Macy’s, Bloomingdale’s, Harrod’s, Selfridges, John Lewis and other retailers.”
