Cystelcom Sistemas has unveiled a mobile social network platform designed to make it easier for 3G operators to let their subscribers interact with all their social networks from their 3G phones, in a “seamless” manner.
The company’s new Veedio platform uses video calling to integrate with the social networking and video-sharing features of social Web sites. This allows operators to deploy such 3G-to-Web services as instant video uploading, the ability to create private video chat rooms and video-centric mobile marketing campaigns.
Veedio lets users create private video chat rooms that can support up to six participants accessing from a PC or cell phone. The platform allows bi-directional video calling between Web users and 3G devices and sends invitations either via SMS or e-mail.
The platform also lets operators take advantage of additional revenue streams such as ad-funded content and location-based services.
